The Saluki Swim team has started their season with a successful showing at the Huron-Perth Invitational meet in Goderich on Tuesday.

Our rookie swimmers had a particularly strong showing with Eric Lagace leading the charge with two first place finishes in the 50m Butterfly and the 100m IM as well as a second place finish in the 50m freestyle.

Isaac Russell put in a mighty showing earning first place in the OPEN 200m IM – a stunning accomplishment for a grade nine swimmer!

Grace Hutton also had a spectacular start to the season, placing first in the 100m IM.

New team members Emee Fink, Megan Hartman, Lauren Stephens and Emily Stanger all contributed their personal best to the meet results.

Further congratulations to veteran swimmers Emily Mills, earning a second place finish in the 100m IM and to Tom Bowen-Smith placing third in the 100m IM.

The Salukis also posted a fourth place finish from our Senior Boys relay team of Eric Lagace, Bevan Bearss, Peter Conway Black and Tom Bowen Smith.

A very strong start for a promising season!

Well done Salukis!
