SALUKI SWIMMERS SENSATIONAL

The Saluki Swim team posted great results at the Huron Perth Championships in St. Marys yesterday.

Eric Legace led the way with a stunning 3 first place finishes. This rookie swimmer earned first in the 50m Freestyle, 100M IM and 100m freestyle. His teammate, Grade 9 swimmer Isaac Russell, also earned first place in the grueling 200mIM and 200m freestyle – easily beating senior swimmers to the finish!

Continuing the trend, Grace Hutton earned first in the Junior Girls 100m IM and Emily Stanger earned first in the open100m Breaststroke.

A second place ribbon was awarded to our Girls 200m Relay team including Emily Mills, Annie Bolton, Cassidy Russell and Emily Stanger. Peter Conway Black also earned second place in the 100m Backstroke.

Emma Bickel earned third in the 50m Butterfly and Tom Bowen Smith also placed third in the Senior Boys 100 m IM.

Emee Fink qualified for WOSSA after a strong showing in the 50 m breaststroke and Megan Hartman, Bevan Bearss and Lauren Stephens all posted solid results earning additional points for the team.

The Saluki Swim team continues to shine and is looking forward to great success at WOSSA on February 16th.
